Hello again. Here are more stories about my internship this past summer:

Now that my surveys are done and I finished the analytics, I got to take up my new project, which involved investigating leads and updating their information. One thing I can say about this company is that when I leave here, I will know how to execute all aspects of marketing and public relations. In a weird way, I’m kind of grateful for that.

Everyone from PR is gone to an event and I just finished my assignment. For the first time since I arrived, I have caught up on all of my work. It was weird because I didn’t know what to do. However, you know what, I’ve come to learn that work never ends at NetSuite. If you don’t have any work, that’s just a glitch and you’ll soon receive an overwhelming amount of work in no time. And as sure as death and taxes, I received another long term assignment, while easier than my data entry and analytics, it was still a pretty long job. My new job involved putting together a database of client information for the sales team. Let’s see how that goes. I also had a moment to talk to my boss, who gave me a good talk on how I should start preparing for my career and how he could help me. It was nice to see that type of transparency from someone who is in a high role within the company. I can honestly say my friends never got that experience. What was cool was that since I did the requirements of what I was supposed to do for the summer, I could spend the rest of my time at the company learning from various people within public relations and marketing in order to just become better at what I do, because at the end of the day, progress is always the goal.
